John A. Onyema _{B.Sc, MBA, FCIB, FCA.}

John Onyema is a graduate of Accounting and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He has over 30 years’ experience in the banking and financial services industry spanning Treasury and Financial Services, Financial Controls, Banking Operations, Branch Management, Credit and Marketing and Risk Management. He has a Master degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance and Investment Analysis.

He acquired and developed core competencies and capabilities in management and financial accounting – to analyse financial strengths and weaknesses of clients and identify potential risks to credit proposals; thorough working knowledge of the Risk systems monitoring, and its related procedures, for analysing the account behaviour of clients, identifying trends and shifts in credit risk profiles; good knowledge of financial markets, in particular awareness of African economies; thorough conceptual and practical knowledge of credit procedures, policies, standards and knowledge of risk systems and derivative instruments.

Also, John has hands on experience in Credit Evaluation and Review of business start-ups, Project Finance, Real Estate Project Finance, Infrastructure, Structured Trade Finance, Agric Projects Finance, Business Support and Recovery and Loan Workouts. John’s banking career spanned Merchant Bank of Africa, FBN Merchant Bankers, First Bank of Nigeria and Stanbic IBTC Bank.

Until recently, John Onyema was an Assistant General Manager & Head, Credit Evaluation and Review of Keystone Bank. He is a Managing Partner at Birthright Consulting Service Limited & Chairman at Market Distribution Multi Services Limited. A seasoned Business man himself and excellent manager of people, Mr John is focused on achieving Livebridge Properties' Strategic Business Goals.
